
Now that
senior roles have been filled, Sky TV has started recruiting agents for its new
call centre in Stockport, which is set to open at the end of June. Within a
month of the announcement of the new site, the company had received more than
1,300 applications for agent positions.
Sky has taken two floors, totalling 23,500 sq ft, of a six storey building called in St Peter’s Square (pictured, along with reception area), in the town centre, which will eventually house 550 people.
Chris Stylianou (pictured), who runs Sky’s customer centres, said: “Sky is excited about finding a new home in Stockport and I’m delighted to be able to announce these new opportunities.”
The company, which claims 9.7m subscribers, also has sites in Livingston, Dunfermline, Uddingston, Leeds, Osterley and Shepton Mallet and employs 16,000-plus people.
