Don’t run the risk…spot problems early on
UC HAS moved from a “nice to have” to a “must have” which companies are rushing to install. However, it’s both difficult and daunting to implement because UC must work with so many different, and crucial, elements of your IP network.
Finding ways to adopt UC quickly and successfully to ensure a rapid RoI is a priority. The key RoI benefit – using a single network – creates many of its own problems, particularly with traffic management and prioritisation affecting voice quality.
Many companies fail to include testing and monitoring in their budgets so they run the risk of going live without knowing of potential problems. These include voice quality being adversely affected by data traffic, or vulnerabilities such as denial of service attacks.
“Real world” problems should be identified before they reach employees or customers.
And consistent monitoring (real calls automatically generated every 15 minutes) enables organisations to quickly identify and solve issues, minimising consequential disruptions and associated costs.
