Headsets: new models are launched

THREE headset companies have brought out new models.

GN Netcom has added to its Cisco-compatible products with wireless Jabra Pro 9400 and Go 6400 Series and the corded Jabra GN2000 Cisco Unified Communications Manager USB model.

It says that all offer plug-and-play with Cisco Unified Communications Manager software, making them simple to install and easy to use.

Plantronics has launched the newest in its Savi range, the Savi CC, a wireless (DECT) over-the-head model, priced at about £262.

It says that users can access both telephone and PC-based calls, for example to aid training.  Plantronics' new software, PerSono, allows users to mix PC and desk phone calls, mute or hold a call by clicking a button as well as to save ring tones, volume levels and default settings.

And Sennheiser has introduced a new DECT wireless headset, the DW Office, which adds to its range of “Comfort calls” wired and Bluetooth models.

It has the choice or ear hook and headband styles and the base station is in the shape of a cube with a front display.
