THE finalists have been announced for the 2009 North West Contact Centre Awards and the winners will be honoured at a ceremony and dinner on October 15th in Manchester.

Contact centre manager (fewer than 50 seats): Christine Burns, Pontins; Jacqueline Marshall, United Utilities; Joanne Preston, Burnley Borough Council

Contact centre manager (50-plus seats): Andy Lang, Greater Manchester Police; Annette Ritson, Expotel; Jennifer Lytollis, Greater Manchester Police; Jeremy Keigan, United Utilities; Linda Hill, Lowri Beck Solutions.

Best utilisation of technology: Carole Nash Insurance Consultants, United Utilities, iQor, Telefónica O2 UK.

Best outsourced partnership: Expotel and DWP; iQor and BBC TV Licensing; LBM and O2; Liverpool Housing Trust and Johnnie Johnson Housing Trust.

Best avoidable contact programme (public sector): Impact Partnership, Liverpool Direct.

Best customer experience programme: Cheshire Constabulary, Telefónica O2 UK, United Utilities

Business in the Community: Telefónica O2 UK, Air Products

Contact centre (fewer than 50 seats): Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council; Burnley Borough Council; Manchester United FC; Office Link; One Call, Helena Partnerships; Supply Fault Information Centre (United Utilities).

Contact centre (fewer than 50 Seats) private sector: Cable and Wireless; Capita Business Services/CRB; Carole Nash Insurance Consultants; Equanet; QVC UK

Contact centre (50-plus seats) public sector: Cheshire Constabulary, Greater Manchester Police, Impact Partnership.

There are also awards for agent, team leader, trainer/coach, support person and team of the year.
